Terms and Conditions for Chelmsford Dental Smile Plans

These terms and conditions apply to the Essential Smiles Plan and Diamond Smiles Plan provided by Chelmsford Dental.

By joining one of our dental plans, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the following terms and conditions.

1. Plan Options and Benefits

Essential Smiles Plan – £9.99 per month

The Essential Smiles Plan includes:

One dental examination per 12-month membership period, currently valued at £45.
One hygiene appointment per 12-month membership period, currently valued at £121.
10% discount on routine dental treatments.
10% discount on cosmetic dental treatments.

Diamond Smiles Plan – £19.99 per month

The Diamond Smiles Plan includes:

One dental examination per 12-month membership period, currently valued at £45.
Two hygiene appointments per 12-month membership period, currently valued at £242 in total.
One complimentary emergency dental appointment per 12-month membership period.
10% discount on routine dental treatments.
10% discount on cosmetic dental treatments.

The complimentary emergency appointment covers the emergency assessment only. Any treatment required following the assessment will be charged separately, subject to any applicable plan discount.

2. Minimum Membership Term

Membership is subject to a minimum commitment period of 12 months from the date your plan begins.

By enrolling, you agree to complete the full 12-month membership term and make all required monthly payments.

After the initial 12-month term, your membership will continue on a monthly basis unless you provide notice to cancel.

Following the initial 12-month membership term, you may cancel your membership by giving at least one calendar month’s written notice.

Your regular monthly payment will continue to be collected during the notice period, and your membership benefits will remain available until the cancellation date.

Notice should be provided directly to Chelmsford Dental by email or in writing.

9. Early Cancellation

Membership cannot normally be cancelled during the initial 12-month commitment period.

If Chelmsford Dental agrees to an early cancellation and you have already used appointments or benefits included within the plan, we will calculate:

The full standard value of the appointments or treatment benefits you have received.
The total amount you have paid into the plan.

If the value of the benefits received is greater than the amount paid, you will be required to pay the difference before your membership can be closed.

No refund will be issued where the amount paid into the plan is greater than the value of the appointments or benefits used.

This does not affect any cancellation or refund rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

10. Treatment Outside Chelmsford Dental

The plan only covers the appointments and discounts specifically listed within your chosen membership.

It does not cover:

Treatment provided by another dental practice.
Treatment provided by a dental hospital.
Treatment carried out by a GDC-registered specialist.
Emergency treatment obtained elsewhere.
Any treatment or service not specifically included within the plan.

11. Ending a Membership

Chelmsford Dental reserves the right to end or suspend a membership where:

Monthly payments have not been maintained.
There are outstanding fees on the patient’s account.
Appointments are repeatedly missed or cancelled at short notice.
The patient behaves in an abusive, threatening or inappropriate manner.
The professional relationship between the patient and the practice has broken down.

Where appropriate, we will provide written notice and explain any outstanding amount that remains payable.
